When the owners of Routier came up with the concept of doing casual French cuisine, they knew they needed a sign to match that atmosphere. We were tasked with bringing their elegant logo to life with gold leaf at their corner restaurant. Chef John Paul Carmona & celebrity pastry chef Belinda Leong have a pedigree for excellence and their new venture displayed all their talents from delicious cocktails to innovative deserts and of course a rotating variety of seasonal French inspired cuisine.
For the signage we chose an evergreen outline to match the accents in the restaurants exterior as it also provided a subdued look. We selected 23 karat gold and executed the sign with a matte finish. While a sign is such a small part of a restaurant, it does provide diners with a first impression on their experience. Luckily this reverse glass gold leaf sign helps convey that message even before first bite.
